Questions & Answers

Q: You say you see people with “High Profiles” etc, I represent a number of personalities from both the entertainment world and sports too. Would it be beneficial for you to both see my staff as well as possibly see some of my clients who may need some additional assistance and help in their personal aspects of life.

A: The answer to both questions is yes. And to take matters one stage further this is already a common practice with a number of companies / agencies in both areas of sports and entertainment / media, etc. You would fine that the staff inparticular would benefit from a Life Coaching session perhaps as a “workshop” development or talk, and maybe even on a one-2-one basis if there are personal issues as apposed to communicative issues and understanding in the work environment. The “celebrities” almost always feel better from being introduced or having the opportunity to have a Life Coaching session, in fact I’ve yet to find one who hasn’t booked at least a couple more private sessions.

Q: I’m currently a student in my final year, and whilst I “think” I know what I want to do when I leave, I’m a little confused as to where I am in life, and everything seems a bit of a jumble at the moment. Would Life Coaching even just a single meeting help me, bearing in mind that I’m not sure I could afford a series of consultations.

A: Yes, a meeting would most definitely benefit you, and one meeting may just be all you require. There are many students in your situation who just need some assistance in direction, clarity, purpose and in many cases a degree of emotional support. You can always have a free - NO obligation chat to see if a consulation is what you require.

Q: I’m an Asian guy in my early thirties, married with two children and doing quite well in my work. The problem is that in many Asian families there’s lots of pressure to “do this”, and “that” and loads of emotional blackmail from parents and other members of the family, and it’s driving me mad. I don’t want to bring up my children in this type of environment. Would Life Coaching help.

A: It most certainly would. You’d be suprised at the number of people who are in exactly the same situation as yourself and who have come out having had a Life Coaching session feeling like a new person, without the endless headaches, guilt, and permanent dread that’s associated with family scenarios.

Q: I’ve been out of work for sometime now and I really feel quite demoralised. Whilst I’m not earning anything other than some state benefits I’m not financially at rock bottom. However, everything at the moment seems to be getting on top of me, I know much of it is in my mind, but knowing that and changing the way I think is a different ball game. Would seeing a Life Coach help me?

A: Yes, it would help you. Today more than ever before people are being made redundant at all ages, and many people have been made redundant quite a few times. Age has also a bearing as to one’s state of mental health, and good mental health is very important in progressing or evolving in life. Life Coaching would put you back on track, increase your self esteem and eradicate those built up doubts that you have and open possibilities for growth towards a better future, in all areas of your life.

Q: I’m a woman in my early thirties, I’ve had a couple of relationships that were good, although looking back at them I can see flaws in the relationships. I’m quite ambitious and have quite a hectic life. Whilst I meet many eligable and seemingly nice men, I’m just so frightened to take the next step as I don’t want to end up with yet “another” relationship, then a few years down the line another and so on, I’d rather stay single and just date from time to time. Would there be some use in seeing a Life Coach about this, and possibly some other issues I have?

A: The fact that you’ve identified a situation in your life that you’re not happy about is an excellent step forward. Seeing a Life Coach would be brilliant. It would also identify many other areas of your life that need “tweeking” a little for you to enjoy what you are not enjoying now. Life Coaching is “holistic” in that like the Heiniken advert “reaches the parts that others can’t” in total it increases all area of life even those you had never thought of and allows you to be the person you want to be, that way you’ll have a better chance with potential “boyfriends” in future. Unfortunately Life Coaching can’t actually find you a boy friend!!

Q: I should really be quite happy, I have a great family (wife and children), self emplyed with quite a bit of free time so I can spend time with the family. We have a nice house, cars, holidays and eat well, and I’m just not feeling satisfied or happy or whatever it is, I’m just not feeling it, and I’m feeling guilty deep down about this. My wife asks if I’m OK, and I have to say yes because I am, but deep down I just keep thinking I’m missing something, but haven’t a clue as to what it is. Help?

A: The feeling that everything going on around you is a party and that you haven’t been invited is not uncommon. Or the feeling that everyone has found what you’re still seeking or you’ve missed the plot is also not an uncommon feeling. There are a number of issues here, some can be quite complex, some just a re-alignment of who you are with life as it is. Whatever it is seeing a Life Coach could greatly improve that negative feeling, that inner void that’s just not connecting with that “happiness” button. Have an initial FREE chat and see if you feel there’s some synergy with what you are seeking and the replies that you are getting. Life’s for living, don’t leave it too long or it could quite easily get worse and it would then start to pre-occupy your thoughts on a daily basis. Don’t let that happen.

Q: I’ve had an affair, it was stupid but I did it. It’s ruined my life or the life as I knew it. I’m at a loss as to what to do now or what to do next in terms of trying to regain my life as I would like it.

A: Firstly, stop the guilt, stop the “I wish I hadn’t” - you did. “Why”? Stop all of that as it won’t change a thing, stop listening to those around you, they are no better in their lives even if they haven’t had an affair - and you don’t know that either. The first thing to do is to regain your life, no matter what. Whatever consequencies there are now from your actions they have to be dealt with, very clinical and without emotion. (Even if they are emotive issues), NO slanging matches, it doesn’t help it only fuels ego and bad decisions. Some infidelities can be “overcome”, if that’s the case then re-building can take place right away and with some good restoration work the signs of what has happened can be all but painted over. Some can’t, they can be quite the opposite, they can be foul, vengeful, spiteful, dramatic, deliberate, even worse. If that’s the case the quicker it’s over the better. See my FREE leaflet “Having An Affair”, it can be downloaded from this site, otherwise request a copy and it’ll be emailed to you NO Obligation. Life Coaching a very good way at getting over the inevitability. If you need to talk about it, now’s the time, don’t procrastinate.

Q: Do you travel out of London or go abroad to see clients?

A: Yes. I travel faily frequently to France where I see clients in Paris, Nice and Cap Ferrat in the Cote d Azure, I also have clients in America too on both the West and East coast. In the UK, most of the clients I see outside of London are in the “corporate” sector, although this is not exclusively so. Many companies today are offering employees a chance to see a Life Coach as a “one off” event usually it is in conjunction with a seminar or talk given previously. Organisations or associations usually hold periodic talks and this makes the event outside of London a worthwhile proposition. Some clients I see outside of London on a sole basis but this can prove costly both in time and transport for many individuals.

Q: Are all Life Coaches the same, and what credentials do they have? And what do they mean?

A: All Life Coaches are NOT the same. And currently there are NO legally recognised credentials. There are many organisations who “teach” Life Coaching, but as it’s a case of anyone can can do it if they pay, the results are often not reliable. Many people take on a Life Coaching or NLP course for “their” own benefit, and then try to administer what they have learned, it doesn’t work like that. When seeking out a Life Coach professional or even someone who administers NLP (current vogue) speak to them first for free and judge how they respond to you. Seek out a few then make your decision. If there is a hint of “on - going” or dependency then leave well a lone.

Q: I’ve have had some counselling, but I’m still feeling that I need someting else, it just didn’t “hit the mark” with what I wanted or was looking for. Would Life Coaching help me at all?

A: There are three questions you must ask yourself first based upon what is / are your problem areas. 1. For some deep rooted areas counselling may be your best choice, have a free no obligation chat to find out. 2. Are you wanting to move forward in life and eradicate many of the ‘obstacles’ that you pereceive are holding you back at whatever level (personal / family / friends / business / life itself) etc? 3. You’re wanting to try Life Coaching because you’ve tried everything else, in fact you’ve become an expert on failed therapies, meetings, guru’s, whatever. If in doubt please call for a free chat, after that you’ll be in a better frame of mind as to what to do next.

Q: You mentioned that you have as clients a number of well known people in pop, entertainment, media, sports fields etc. Do there problems differ from other people who are not in the public eye.

A: It’s amazing how similar people’s problems can actually be. The circumstances and application of eradicating same can be different, but many of the base problems especially where people are the cause of the problems are sometimes strikingly similar.

Q: What if I have loads of things I just want to talk about, personal life, business, family / relationships, finances, no fun in life anymore, can Life Coaching really help me?

A: Yes it can. It’s amazing how all these things can be linked together, even if it appears they are all totally seperate issues. Many people actually create worse difficulties within their minds and thus can’t see any way out, indeed they dwell on not being able to find a way out which only exacerbates the situation. Clarity of direction and peace of mind goes a long way to see openings and avenues out of your problems and circumstances.

Q: How could my company benefit from Life Coaching / straighttalking.

A: Many blue chip companies , and smaller companies are finding that to keep their executives in peak condition mentally, and to increase productivity and creativity within the company, that Life Coaching sessions give them the opportiunity to “release” what stress they have built up, and thus go foward with a more clear and concise mind. Also small workshops / seminars to tageted groups within the company focuses on better communications and productivity, leaving personal problems at the door and building better overall relationships at all levels within the company.

Q: I have a few issues I’d like to “get off my chest” and sort out. What’s the difference between going to a Life Coach and a counsellor.

A: A Life Coach will help you with your life in an “holistic” way, allow you to see the “way out” and how you best can effect change yourself, In counselling it’s usually a more protracted affair, going into all kinds of areas of your life and past, some of which you may be perfectly happy to leave well alone with or are satisfied that ‘that’s the way it was’, etc. Life Coaching gives you the ability to “turbo charge” your life into moving forward, being better, happier, more in control, taking charge, without mind games or anything difficult or painful to take on board. All Life Coaches are different, as are all counsellers, shop around until you find one that YOU feel comfortable with. But at the end of the day, YOU have to make things work, there are no magic pills.

Q: Can I tell you anything / everything about me or just what I want to effect change in?

A: It’s entirely up to you. You say whatever you feel comfortable with and at what level. The more you say the better the result as many seemingly unrelated areas in life do actually have a bearing on you in many ways.

Q: Do I have to have a One-2-One session or can I do it on the phone?

A: The most successful sessions are personal one-2-one sessions. By far more information is imparted, and numerous other areas are brought into focus more prominently, and the outcome is far, far, more professional. However, there are times when telephone or e-mail contact can be utilised.

Q: Do I need to keep on coming for “top up” sessions?

A: If any Life Coach / Counsellor advocates any form of dependency then leave them well alone, they have failed before they have started. That’s not to say that you may feel at some point to see your Life Coach again, but not because you are dependent upon them.

Q: What kind of people go in for Life Coaching as a means to change their lives?

A: Nearly anyone can see a Life Coach for whatever they need to effect positive change in their lives. Professional people, celebrities, sports personalities, office workers, whoever. Whatever it is that’s stopping you going forward or hindering your life, or causing you grief in whatever form, select the Life Coach that BEST meets your needs

Q: How many sessions will I need to effect change?

A: Some people need only one session to effect real change in their circumstances, other people need 5 or more, or to spread out their consultations over a period of time. This is all decided by yourself. It varies from person to person and situation to situation.

Q: Will Life Coaching work for me & how?

A: First of all you have to want to change the circumstances that are affecting you. This is true no matter what area of your life you need changing, no one can do it for you. Secondly, through the gentle releasing of your own inner abilities, results will effect change in your circumstances. You are the only one that can walk your pathway, things will change if you allow them to, no matter how daunting they may seem at the time.
